Amutat HaLevav, the Center for Healthy Living in Tzfat, is dedicated to improving community life in Tzfat and the Upper Galilee through the environment, natural health and traditional practices. We are blessed here with stunning natural bounty and a rich historical, cultural and spiritual legacy. We also suffer from social and economic fragmentation that often impairs the ability of many to fully sustain themselves. We believe that recognition and appropriate use of the abundance around us is key to our physical, communal, environmental and economic health.
Our activities include research, public education, demonstration projects, and community service. We sponsor classes and education projects on healthy practices such as yoga, movement, nutrition, using native plants and local food products, appreciating nature, environmental preservation and restoration, urban gardening, composting, traditional and sustainable building methods and wise use of natural resources such as water and solar energy.
